In other words, you do not have to tell an employer about charges that you were not found guilty of.
What if I did bad things a long time ago? Employers also cannot ask about misdemeanors where the date of conviction or end of incarceration, whichever is later, happened five or more years ago, with no convictions since then. You are not required to tell your possible employers anything about your delinquency cases. Nor do you have to inform them that you were a “Child in Need of Services”. (CHINS), as long as the case was not transferred to Superior Court for criminal prosecution.
If the criminal record was sealed what it means to say? Good news: When a record is sealed it means that people outside the criminal justice system cannot see it. The charge basically only exists for the police and the courts, but for just about all other people, it’s really non-existant. There are some criminal records in MA that can be sealed. When the record is sealed, most business will not be able to view it when doing a CORI check. If your criminal records have been sealed, there is no need to tell an employer.
How can you get your record sealed? The criminal record is elibible for sealing since all of the felony convictions have closed.

And what is the amount of time this will take? You will have to show that there is a compelling governmental interest or a good reason to seal the record since there is no waiting period For you a main good reason could be that the expenditures are obstructing from finding employement or housing.
